"Love 'em and leave 'em"
Hard to imagine 50 years have passed. My how time flies when you are having fun!
I now reside in Seattle, in the Evergreen State - with a view of the space needle! I moved here from West Palm Beach, Florida nine years ago. Prior to my move I sold real estate in Florida and truly enjoyed South Florida. When my daughter graduated from law school, she convinced me to leave real estate and relocate to Seattle to help take care of my granddaughter, Haedyn Grace. It was the first time I have ever lived in a major city. It has been an adventure to discover and explore the city with Haedyn. I have had the fortune to travel over the years - to France, Ireland, Italy, and most recently the Greek Isles via sailboat. Whlle travel abroad has been enriching - I have also found joys in traveling domestically. I recently spent an idyllic week sailing in the San Juan Islands of the Pacific Northwest. I enjoy spending my free time with my family, practicing yoga, pilates, reading, sailing, and hiking. As I reflect on my time at Wachusett, I think of the fun, laughter, and adventures we had together. Mr. Brackeen was my most memorable teacher - he had such a great sense of humor. Looking forward to coming back to catch up with all of my old friends as it will be the first time in many years to reconnect. See you soon! |
"Many can argue; not many can converse."

Following graduation from Assumption College, I spent a year teaching English at Berlin-Boylston Regional. Decided that I would enlist because something would work out for a bright, young college grad. It did! Straight to the infantry which I survived and then went to Syracuse University's Newhouse School of Public Communications as a graduate assistant and earned an MA. The next 6 years I worked in Public Relations for Occidental Petroleum. Did some advertising & marketing planning in that job & liked it. Spent the next 23 years in Manhattan working as a marketing/strategic planner for a number of multi-national ad Agencies and capped that career as a Senior VP, Group Marketing Director. With over 800,000 frequent flyer miles I bailed out so that I could see my kids, then just babies. Sarah & I started a small business and once up and running I went back to marketing for the next 7 years as VP Marketing for the 2nd largest healthcare nonprofit, The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Sarah and I started two more small business, both of which are still operating, a toy store and an independent UPS/FedEx/Postal Shipping Center. As the years ticked down to the present our son just graduated from college and shortly will be a nationally certified paramedic. His big sister finished college 6 years ago and she & her husband just presented us with our first grandchild. In addition, for the past 10+ years I have been working for UPS. In what spare time I find, I am also a licensed Realtor. No. Retirement is not really on the horizon yet! |
